Set them once. They apply on this browser until you change them.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you on the next page or the next visit. We also use a few close relatives — local storage, pixels in email, and software development kits — and this policy treats them all the same way.

Cookies set by plenary.life are first-party. Cookies set by a provider we work with, such as an analytics service, are third-party, and that provider can see them too. Every third-party cookie we use is listed in section 03 and in the Privacy policy.

The categories we use

Four categories. One is required; three are optional and can be turned off above.

Every way to opt out

• The preference center above. Turn off any optional category and save. The choice is stored in an essential cookie on this browser, so repeat it on each browser or device you use. To change it later, come back to this page or open [Settings → Privacy] in the Service.
• Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising, and we turn marketing cookies off for you. You do not need to do anything else.
• Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, for all sites or for plenary.life alone. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may stop the Service from working.
• Provider opt-outs. [Analytics provider]: [opt-out link]. [Ad or attribution provider]: [opt-out link]. Industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and, in Europe, Your Online Choices (youronlinechoices.eu) also apply.
• Email. Marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and we stop within ten business days. Images in our email may include a pixel that tells us the message was opened; blocking images in your mail client disables it. Radar alerts and receipts are part of the Service and continue while you have an account; tune Radar in Settings.
• Do not sell or share. We do not sell personal information. The switch above records your opt-out under US state privacy law and turns off marketing cookies. Residents of California and other states can also make the request by email — see the Privacy policy, section 13.

Opting out never changes the price, quality, or availability of the Service.

Beyond cookies: your data

Cookies are a small part of what the Service holds about you and your organization. The full picture is in the Privacy policy; the commitments below are the ones people ask about most.

• We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Your content stays yours. Documents, applications, and profile answers are used to do the work you asked for — scoring, matching, drafting — and for nothing else. We do not use them to train models that serve other customers. [Mirror whatever section 05 of the Privacy policy ends up saying.]
• Nothing goes to a funder unless you send it. Plenary drafts and coaches. It does not submit.
• Analytics off means off. Turning off analytics above also stops in-app usage analytics tied to your account. The Service keeps only the security logs it needs to run. [Confirm the toggle gates server-side usage analytics as well as cookies.]
• Export any time. [Settings → Export] gives you your profile, reports, drafts, and files in standard formats. [Confirm what the export includes.]
• Delete any time. Deleting a file removes it within [30] days and from backups within [90]. Closing the account deletes everything on the same schedule, except the billing records the law makes us keep.
• Your organization’s admin controls the workspace you share, including exporting and deleting content inside it. Ask them first for anything workspace-wide.

Third-party tools

The providers that may set cookies or receive data when you use the Service, and what each is for. Each one is bound by contract to use the data only to provide its service to us.

Changes to this policy

When we add or remove a cookie or a provider, we update the tables above and the date at the top. If a change would turn on a category you turned off, we ask again before it takes effect.
